About AIMS.

AIMS is an AI visibility service for local businesses. It checks which businesses AI assistants like Google's Gemini and Claude recommend when customers ask who's best, shows an owner who gets named instead of them and why, and fixes the sources those answers rely on. It was founded in 2026 in Boston, Massachusetts, by Cole Scheels.

Who runs it

AIMS is run by Cole Scheels, a senior at Suffolk University in Boston studying finance, management information systems and AI. It's a small operation on purpose: you deal with Cole directly, from the first email to the last re-check.

Why it exists

More people now ask an AI assistant who's best instead of scrolling through search results. The answer usually names two or three businesses, and they aren't always the best ones. Often they're the ones the assistant found the clearest information about. That's fixable, and it's measurable, so AIMS measures it.

How it works

  • Ask. We put your customers' real questions to Gemini (with Google Search) and Claude (with web search), three times each, because answers change from run to run.
  • Read. We record who gets named and which sources each answer cites: Google profiles, Yelp, directories, “best of” lists, websites.
  • Fix. We turn that into specific changes to the sources the answers lean on.
  • Prove. We ask the same questions again, word for word, and show you the before and after.

How to check we're real

  • Call or text (518) 224-6607, or email hello@askaims.com. You'll reach Cole.
  • See our public test: we run the same process on AIMS itself and publish the numbers every week, including when they're zero.
  • Read our research on which sources AI assistants cite for Boston businesses, and try the free AI-readiness check.
  • Start with the free fix pack. It costs nothing and needs no card, so you can judge the work before paying for anything.

What we won't do

  • Promise you'll be #1. Nobody controls what an AI says, and anyone who promises it is guessing.
  • Write, buy or incentivize fake reviews.
  • Host pages for you that disappear if you stop working with us. Every change lives on your own site and profiles.

Not to be confused with: AIMS at askaims.com is not affiliated with other organizations that use the name “AIMS”, such as insurance claims administrators, school or management associations, or software companies. If a page about “AIMS” doesn't mention askaims.com, it's about someone else.
